7 Frequently Asked Questions by Fabricators and Manufacturers

Every day, here at Alutech Systems, we receive a lot of common questions by door fabricators and manufacturers, regarding our products and services. To help answer some of your burning questions, below you will find seven of the most frequently asked questions by fabricators and manufacturers.

FAQ #1: Do you offer training and support?

Yes, we have our own in-house training facilities, alongside Josh – our trainer coming to site to train you on the bifolds and how they go together. During these current uncertain times, we have also been offering a virtual training session that pairs up really well with our YouTube training videos. In other words, we’ve got you covered!

FAQ #2: Do your doors allow room for adjustment?

Yes. We offer the adjustable jamb, which this is both fabricator and fitter friendly. The adjustable jamb allows for +/- 4mm of adjustment on either side of the bifold, saving time on measuring the last door in and also reducing call-backs from the end user.

FAQ #3: What is your delivery turnaround?

At the moment, our lead times are approximately 5-7 working days. We use our own fleet of vehicles so that we can be very flexible when it comes to deliveries. Moreover, in the event that you need something urgently, we also offer a speedy collection service from our own warehouse in Dewsbury.

FAQ #4: Do you have any other products alongside the bifold?

We are working very closely with our extruders in Minsk and our new product development representative, Dave, on a soon-to-be released casement window. This will be followed by a 2-in-1 inline slider, a lift and slide and, after that, a roof lantern!

FAQ #5: What software do you use to process the doors?

We use the LogiKal software. This is the leading software for the glazing industry; it is quick and simple, direct through Business Micros. It enables users to process single or multiple profile aluminium systems to complete estimations, quotes and more, managing production at all levels.

FAQ #6: What makes you different to the competition?

Our product is excellent, slimline and an all-around perfect fit for any residential or commercial project. Our pricing is very competitive, although we believe that it really isn’t always about price. We have a fantastic team both internally and externally, who strive to provide exceptional customer service and, so far, we are receiving excellent feedback.

FAQ #7: What colours do we stock?

The standard colours that we have in stock are: Grey 7016 (Matte), Black 9005 (Matte), White 9016 (Gloss), Grey 7016 (Matte) on White 9016 (Gloss), Black 9005 (Matte) on White 9016 (Gloss), Textured Grey 7016 and Mill Finish.

Overall, our aluminium, CWCT tested systems are designed to provide the best possible performance, both technically and with ease of installation and fabrication. Do you have more questions? Feel free to give us a call on 01924 350110 or email sales@alutechsystems.co.uk.
