Alutech Systems’ Sales Director runs London Marathon and raises £1.5K for charity
On Sunday the 3rd of October, Alutech Systems’ amazing Sales Director, Mike Moulds, completed the London Marathon! This 26.2-mile marathon is a hugely popular race set around the River Thames and it returned to London’s streets for its first full-scale staging in more than two years, following the Covid-19 pandemic and attracting around 80,000 participants.
As a team here at Alutech Systems, we support and encourage all our members to reach their goals not only workwise, but in their personal lives as well. That’s why we’re extremely proud for Mike not only for completing the race, but also for raising the significant amount of 1,500 pounds to be donated to the Leicester Hospitals Charity.
Mike said of his achievement:
“What an amazing experience with an electric atmosphere all the way through the 26.2 miles. Such a well organised event. Hats off to all the marshals and teams involved!
I hadn’t planned to raise any money for charity due to not knowing whether I could get through the training, but secretly a fundraiser had been set up which was a welcomed surprise halfway round!
The charity we are donating to is the Leicester Hospitals Charity. Something very close to me. On countless occasions, they have saved or helped loved ones dear to me in recent years.”
Leicester Hospitals Charity exists to support patients, their carers, and the NHS staff who look after them in Leicester, Leicestershire, Rutland and beyond. Its work is to enhance and help make the Leicester Royal Infirmary, the Leicester General Hospital and Glenfield Hospital even better for patients, visitors and staff.
Donations to the charity go into improving patient areas and investing heavily in state-of-the-art equipment to diagnose and treat patients. If you want to make a donation, please follow this link:
